We will keep the log book and issue a certificate of destruction to let DVLA know that the vehicle is scrapped.

PUBLIC WEIGHBRIDGE
Griffiths Group operates 2 full length weighbridges, offering gross and tare weights on vehicles and trailers.
If you suspect your vehicle may be overweight, you can have your vehicle weight checked on our calibrated weighbridge and we will issue a weight certificate for your records.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR A PUBLIC WEIGH?
Yes, we charge for public weighs. Please call for a current price or use our contact page. Included in this price is both the gross and tare weight (if required).

HOW DO I KNOW THE WEIGHT IS ACCURATE?
All of our weighbridges are calibrated annually to ensure weights are accurate.
DO YOU OFFER AXLE WEIGHTS?
No, we offer gross and tare weights. Our weighbridges are not able to give individual axle weights.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
If this is your first time weighing in with us, you will need to bring 1 form of ID which has your photo and residential address. Eg. Photocard driving licence. If you do not have a photo ID, you can bring either a passport and utility bill OR 2 utility bills.
DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
No need to make an appointment, just drive onto our weighbridge and report to the weighbridge office with your ID.
HOW WILL I BE PAID?
We offer payment by cheque or same day bank payment.
WHEN WILL I BE PAID?
We make bank payments for scrap metal daily at 2pm.
CAN I ISSUE A VAT INVOICE FOR MY SCRAP?
If you are weighing in scrap metal on behalf of your business, you can issue a VAT invoice for your scrap metal. All the information you will need to issue your VAT invoice to us will be on your weighbridge ticket.
